It has been almost 2 months since Donald Trump was elected as the 45th president of the United States. He has done many great things; improve the economy, write travel bans, rework Obamacare. These are all wonderful things that he has done and those are just a few examples. What he hasn’t had time to do is contact his family that cannot live with him at the White House.
President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. said that he has not talked to his father since he assumed office as president. “I basically have zero contact with him at this point,” Trump Jr. said during an speech. This is pretty significant stuff considering his father is the president of the United States.
He went on to say that he looked forward to getting back to his regular everyday life as a businessman. But he could not really do that easily. “Deals are still exciting,” he added. “But when you’re the sort of guy out there every day, 24-7 fighting in this thing — it’s like a great fight.”
He continues on about his father and the great things he has done in office so far as president while also throwing a little bit of shade at former President Barack Obama. “I’m watching more take place in two months than I saw in two terms before,” he says. Well that is definitely a true statement.
This January, President Trump said he would hand over control of his business empire to his two adult sons and would place his assets into a trust fund for his children. This was big news at the time as it proved President Trump would move away from business and focus his time on being president.
What do you guys think of the words said by Donald Trump Jr.? He is following his father’s footsteps nicely.
