After berating the press and talking about everything from building a wall to getting rid of ISIS, Donald Trump reminded us on Friday that you can’t always get what you want…
By having the Rolling Stones hit play after his Conservative Political Action Conference speech ended, of course.
Want” has become something of a standard for Trump. It played at the end of his campaign rallies, at the end of his November acceptance speech after winning the election and at the end of his inaugural speech last month.
The deeper meaning of why it’s always this song has yet to be deciphered.
How do the Rolling Stones feel about it? They’re not fans. They’ve issued statements condemning the unauthorized use of the songs and Mick Jagger has joked, “I’m not Donald’s DJ.”
And so the president continues to get what he needs.
